First time shooting medium format with a new camera.  I bought a used Holga 120CFN off of ebay for $45.  This toy camera is known for it’s imperfections like light leaks and vignetting.  It offers just f-11 and f-8 aperture settings and the manual focus is not exactly precise.  Advancing the film to the next frame is optional, making multiple exposures very easy.  There’s a built in flash with different color filters.  Mine’s not working, but for a cheap toy camera, I’m not that concerned.  What this camera doesn’t have in terms of technical features, it makes up for with fun surprising photo results.  These pictures were shot on Kodak gold 200 on an overcast day.  I home processed with a fresh batch of Cinestill CS41 developer and scanned with Epson V600 flatbed scanner.  I’m not exactly sure what caused the green streaks.  There’s some foam pieces inside the camera meant to hold the film tight, that may be rubbing on the film.  I also found myself fumbling around in the dark trying to load the film which could have damaged the film going into the Jobo tank reel.  Medium format film has a paper backing that has to be pealed off.  I accidentally loaded that instead of the film which I had to remove and load the film instead.  The next round should go a lot smoother I would hope!  Overall, I’m happy with the first shots.  I’m loving the square 6×6 format.  Most of these were along Federal Blvd in Denver, Lakewood, and Englewood.
